Installation - Brellock™ is readily installed in existing concrete slabs of 100mm minimum thickness, or thinner slabs that have pavers or tiles glued or grouted on top of the slab**. Brellock™ can also be installed on timber or composite decking or into a dedicated footing. Brellock™ base units can also be cast into new slabs. Our installation team will ensure the units are installed and commissioned ready for use. We provide documentation and instructions to ensure you make the most of your new Brellock™ units.
Size - The standard size Brellock™ will hold umbrellas with a timber, steel, fiberglass or aluminium shaft. The Brellock unit suits an umbrella shaft diameter 40mm up to 51mm diameter. The standard Brellock™ is designed to safely support an umbrella with a maximum span of 3m x 3m.
Approvals - Brellock Enterprises has successfully negotiated with several Councils for permission to install the Brellock units in Council controlled land.**** Council approval is not required where installation is on private land. Where the area is controlled by a Body Corporate, permission from the Body Corporate is required prior to installation. Brellock Enterprises will supply drawings as required, at a nominal charge, to attach to the application to any governing authority from which approval is required.
Wind barriers - Brellock Enterprises can fabricate and install removable wind barriers*** to border your outdoor dining area. The barrier frame is made from stainless steel or powder coated aluminium and the tensioned banner supported by the frame is able to be printed with your provided artwork.
Advantages- The Brellock™ unit is compact with no protrusions. It will not interfere with tables or chairs that are placed right beside it. The large, heavy and unstable base plateor concrete molding of the free standing style umbrella is eliminated by the Brellock™ unit's unique and patented design.
Safety - The Brellock™ base unit sits flush with the surface in which it is installed. There are no protrusions or trip hazards. The base has small slots that are too small for a 20c coin to go through. It is safe for people wearing high heels to walk over without getting tripped up. Young children are not able to get their fingers caught in the slots.
Capacity - Standard Brellock™ units are able to securely support your umbrella in windy conditions and are able to withstand wind speeds up to 125 kph* with appropriately rated umbrellas up to 3m x 3m. It is recommended that unrated umbrellas be dismounted if winds are likely to exceed 60 kph. to prevent damage to the umbrella. Brellock™ recommends using umbrellas rated at a minimum of 110kph to ensure highest degree of safety. Please ask about rated umbrellas that are locally manufactured.
Australian product - Brellock™ is an Australian patented design, engineered for Australian conditions and manufactured in Queensland, Australia. Brellock™ supports local industry.
